Leading with Nature.

Fashion is an exercise in imagination and beauty. For us, it’s also hugely about nature. In fact, nature leads the charge throughout our new collection – bringing us back to a place of natural beauty – through clothing that actively contributes to the restoration of our world’s natural environments. In particular, the Ocean; the inspiration behind our brand.

A New Chapter for our Planet.

Not only that, but the world as we know it has changed. We wanted to create a collection that inspires positivity and the beginning of a new chapter. A collection that you love and feel proud to wear. A collection where your purchase actively contributes to a better environment. More on that later…

Our Inspiration: Colours, Patterns and Textures.

Our creative direction for this collection came from our Head of Design, Raquel Castro. A seasoned fashion designer with over 18 years’ experience working in the fashion industry, Raquel wanted to deliver a collection that utilised the power of colour to inspire a different perspective on life. We live in a world that has collectively experienced a tumultuous few years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and rapid climate change. Through colour, thoughtful patterns and sustainable materials, this collection reflects on the journey of life after such a challenging period. Our collective aim is to inspire hope and action for a better, more sustainable future.

Colours that Inspire Hope and Positive Change.

We know that colours play an important role in everyones’ life. What you wear can be a reflection of yourself. Colour pallets are often based on the latest trends and expert predictions, and this season, some of the predicted shades will reflect the journey of life after such a challenging period.

With the gradual return to travel and outdoor activities, Summer 22/23 will be marked by a mix and match of dark and light shades. This is reflected in our first capsule collection.

Stillness and Tranquility.

We introduced a palette of light blues to evoke a sense of stillness and tranquillity, symbolising a counterbalance to the overwhelming emotions we all experienced during the pandemic. Combined with vibrant shades like graphite and navy, these colours mirror the current search for optimism and light in our lives.

Simplicity and Altruism.

In a post-pandemic world, it is believed that simplicity and altruism will be perpetuated. Because of this, more minimalistic products will be a strong purchase factor for many consumers. As an eco-conscious brand, minimalism continues to inspire our collections.

Reconnecting with Nature.

Florals are always marked as a must-have; a motif that remains strong as consumers reconnect with the outside world and nature. For this collection, florals feature discreetly, in a non-obvious fashion. Much of who we are can be reflected in the natural world, and by using botanical prints, we aim to help you engage with your body, mind and senses, and reconnect with nature.

Energy and Escapism.

Coral pink has an intense and energising quality that stands out. It’s a colour that is versatile enough to work across seasons and continents. This tone creates a sense of positivity and escapism; embodying the ‘dopamine hit’ bright colour trends that have recently been appearing in many designer collections. Our goal in using this colour is to evoke feelings of joy, optimism and hope, as well as energetic action.

Sourced from nature: A Kilo for the Planet.

We are passionate about our beautiful oceans, and we know you are as well. More than two-thirds of our surface is ocean. Yet, little is done to preserve it.

As we love spending time in the water we could see this with our own eyes. Plastic pollution is everywhere. We wish there were more regulations around this, but in the meantime, we decided not to look away and we would play our own part; by designing and producing sustainable clothing you will feel good wearing – clothing that makes a positive impact.

Every single product you purchase from OceanЯ will remove one kilogram of ocean waste. Thanks to the fishermen behind ENALEIA’s cleaning the oceans project, we are helping to remove plastic from the sea. We know we’re not alone in this battle – that’s why you are here, reading this today! Let’s remain together in what matters. Because together we’re stronger.
