Earlier this month, on Thursday 15th May 2025, OCEANR was presented with our GoGreen Plus Certificate from DHL Express Latvia! Our team was delighted to accept this certification on-site at our production facility in Riga, Latvia, as it represents our commitment to reduced transportation emissions in 2024.
Sustainability is a priority for us at OCEANR, and as part of our B Corporation status, we understand the importance of living our values through every step of our supply chain. Together with DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, we have successfully facilitated low emission air transportation of our products, and played a credible role in reducing the amount of carbon entering our planet’s atmosphere.
OCEANR’s Logistics Specialist, Ingūna Bērziņa, welcomed the DHL Team to our facility and formally accepted our GoGreen Plus Certificate, as pictured below.
Shipments made through DHL’s GoGreen Plus programme use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). SAF is produced through renewable sources such as vegetable oils, animals fats, and waste products. Compared to fossil fuels used in traditional jet fuel, SAF can reduce aviation emissions by up to 80 percent. DHL’s sustainable transportation doesn’t stop at the plane though, as more than 66 percent of their last-mile delivery vehicles are electrified, further solidifying their real commitment to the planet.
